We've further enhanced our backlight profiles. They can now do much more! We've also added a very interesting new flush-mount profile for corner lighting. But let's take things one step at a time.
Setting up profile side cuts
All backlight profiles now have side bevel settings for any angle. For profiles with end caps, these are automatically hidden. This means that as soon as you set a non-zero value, the end cap on the corresponding side will be hidden.
You can set both positive and negative bevel values. A positive value will be beveled from the front of the profile (inner corner), while a negative value will be beveled from the back (outer corner).
Changing the light angle
The light angle can now be adjusted via parameters. You can set any angle you like to add more charm to your project. A value of zero creates a vertical light. A positive value will angle the light forward, and a negative value will angle it backward.
Type of light upon opening
Previously, the light was only monolithic, but now all profiles have an open light option. This intermittent light serves to symbolically display the light activated when a door, drawer, or any other event is opened.
Like standard light, open light can have the following temperatures:
- 4000K
- 5000K
- 6000K
- 7000K
New profile type
We've also added a new type of flush-mounted profile with a 45-degree groove for the lighting. This is a very convenient feature that can be helpful in situations where a standard flush-mounted profile with a straight groove isn't suitable.
Corrections
Glow planes no longer cast shadows or are affected by shadows from other objects. Other minor bugs have also been fixed.
